Just a quick tune up test flight of my DJI F550 Hexacopter. I’m posting this video because I liked the fall colors on the trees in my local urban park. There’s no spectacular flying here, just a short test flight as I continue to chase down some vibration issues.
One item of note is that this flight was done with mismatched propellers….. the front and back X props are Graupner E-Props and the port and starboard props are Century Helicopter Glass Fiber. NOT optimal but keeping me in the air while I wait for a propeller order.
The ground camera footage was shot with an iPhone5
I enjoy your copter flights especially the one over the Rose Garden. I have a little MQX quadcopter that I am using as a learning device. It survives crashes, which has been important for me at this stage in my learning.
The issue that continues to plague me is when the copter is flying towards me, I’m not able to get my mind to reverse the L-R controls, that is, to put myself IN the craft. How did you get past this hurdle ( or was it even an issue for you)?
Keep posting the videos; I look forward to them.

Hi thanks for watching… The L-R reversal (sometimes called flying nose in) just comes with time. Go back and watch my T580 video. A year ago I couldn’t fly at all now I’m doing fairly well. Keep flying you’ll get it!

Hey
I am a newbie looking into the DJI F450 flamewheel for a first quad. The NAZA is a little too pricy right now so i was looking into the KK Plus V5.5e as a flight controller.
Untill i upgrade to the NAZA.
I saw your blog and wanted to right in to get some input on if this is a good flight controller and quad for someone who wanted to fly for fun. I have a 2.4ghz Futaba that i am going to use as my transmiter. I would love any tips and advice from you guys.
Thanks steven
